Booking Policies
Our customers are important to us. We'd definitely like to keep things as informal as possible, but there are just some things that we can't avoid setting in place.
When to Book
- Rehearsal: The best time to set bookings for rehearsals is on a Monday morning. We don't accept bookings for more than a week in advance to give everyone an equal chance to get a slot. You could still try to get a slot as the week commences but chances get slimmer as the weekend approaches. Rehearsals run throughout the week from 6pm onwards.
- Recording: The best time to set bookings for recordings is the week before you actually plan to record. This is to ensure that we can set the perfect recording schedule for you without interruptions. Thanks to our colleague Ross (aka the man for the job), we're open from 1pm onwards for recordings everyday. If you'd like to schedule your tracking sessions during these times just let us know. We sometimes have great coffee on board, and you're free to partake in a cup or two during these sessions.
Recordings per hour or per song?
- The first big decision that a band or artist recording with us has to make is whether or not to take on the project on a per song or per hour basis. Generally, it's often cheaper and faster to work with us per hour: you come into the studio fully prepared and accomplish your work faster than when you're given the liberty to spend copious amounts of time overly perfecting fractions of a second.
- Some bands and artists enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of paying on a per song basis. We enjoy that too as well as the rapport and witty banter that gets exchanged as each session progesses, but it's difficult to turn in a 1 song project that spans more than a quarter of the year and eventually lingers into recording limbo. As such, we have a limit for projects that get paid on a per song basis: a minimum of 4 songs over a 2 month maximum period.
Do you charge for mix session bookings?
- Yes. We charge our standard Php650/hr rate for mix sessions if you'd like to take your raw tracks from another studio/your home studio for mixing in our room. If you've recorded your tracks with us (whether per hour or per song), we mix it for free. We also get it near commercial playback levels for you, although if you'd like proper, professional mastering done you're better off working with a good mastering house.
Cancellation Policy
- Sometimes we really can't help but have rehearsal/recording sessions cancelled. Although we'd rather not allow any cancellations to happen, the little things that surprise us and screw with our daily schedules are truly the spice of life. As such, although we discourage cancellations, we're pretty lenient with them. For all bookings, all cancellations that happen 24 hours before the session don't come with a penalty. If you decide to cancel your booking on the day itself, we impose a Php100/hr penalty. That, or a box of pizza + beer at the next session.
Live Recording Sessions
- If you'd want to record your group playing together at the same time, we offer a live recording service specifically for this purpose. We charge our standard Php650/hour rate for this, and have a minimum of 2 hours for the entire procedure (we allot 1 hour for setup).
